Something’s Fishy

Parker walked in the door from dinner with a takeout box in her hand.

“Oooh, what’s that?” I asked.

“You can have it if you want,” she said, handing me the box.

My jaw dropped because Parker is kind of like Joey on Friends.

PARKER DOESN’T SHARE FOOD!

“It’s a fish taco,” she said.

“Thank you,” I said, smiling. “That’s so sweet of you.”

Parker knows I LOVE FISH TACOS, especially from that particular restaurant.

I can’t believe how selfless she’s being!

Isn’t Parker THE BEST?!

Unfortunately, I had already eaten so I put the box in the fridge to save for later.

Later turned out to be the next morning.

I had just pulled the taco out of the carton when Parker walked into the kitchen, clutching her stomach.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“I think I’m going to throw up,” she said.

“Oh no, do you have the flu?” I asked.

“I think it was the fish taco,” she said. “It tasted a little fishy.”

I looked down at the “fishy” fish taco that had been en route to my mouth.

“You mean this fish taco?” I asked.

She nodded.

“The one you had boxed up and brought home?”

“Uh, huh.”

“The one you gave to me?”

She nodded again. “I wanted to see if you thought it was fishy.”

I returned the questionable taco to the box and dumped it in the trash.

Isn’t Parker the WORST?!

  1. Parker is NEVER the worst! 😘. Maybe she can try your cookie dough next time to see if there’s any salmonella in it 😆

  2. Parker is not the worst! She’s so sweet—she wanted her mama’s opinion! 😂 Love you Parker!
